Elite Dance Academy’s first student and daughter of EDA founder, Miss Jan. Sharon grew up in the dance studio since the age of 3. She studied ballet, tap, jazz, and pointe and was also a competitive gymnast. As a dance student, Sharon traveled to competitions and performances at a variety of venues throughout Bucks County and frequently attended conventions and classes in Philadelphia and New York.  Later she moved on to college athletics while earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, followed by a Masters of Business Administration in Finance.  As a corporate business system consultant, she traveled extensively throughout the country for many years, assisting companies including EDA on business system best practices.  As the current owner and Executive Director of Elite Dance Academy, Sharon is very happy to be surrounded by the dance world where she grew up, especially close to adults and children (including two of her own) who share the love of dance. She regularly attends dance related seminars and conventions, is a member of the Dance Studio Owners Association, is certified in Rhythm Works Integrative Dance, which is a dance program geared towards teaching those with individual learning differences and special needs, as well as CPR certified. She is an avid runner and a 2nd degree Black Belt in Mixed Martial Arts. Sharon loves being surrounded by children of all ages & loves to watch children grow & develop in the dance world.

Amy Widmer

Miss Amy began dancing at the age of 5 at Elite Dance Academy.  She was taught by the one and only Miss Jan who mentored her in teaching.  At fifteen, Amy was a member of Philadanco's training company while still dancing on Elite's competition team.  She went on to receive her BFA in dance at DeSales University on scholarship.  There she was president of Chi Tau Epsilon (dance honor society) for two years and the assistant director of DeSale's Dance Conservatory as well as a teacher there.  Amy was a member of the ACTion Touring Company and performed in many concerts and musicals while at DeSales as well as a choreographer for Elite's competition team.  Upon graduation, Amy performed on cruise ships and at amusement parks for 2 years.  At that point, she decided that her true love was teaching.  She has been a staff member of Elite since 1999.  Amy has won numerous choreography awards and her students have won many high score medals and national titles (including the prestigious Teen Miss Starpower and Junior Miss Starpower).  She has studied with Mia Micheals, Gil Stroming, Mike Minery, Frank Hatchett, Shelia Barker, and Milton Myers to name a few.  Miss Amy is certified in Zumbini and CLI Studios as well as currently studying with Rhee Gold, Julie Kay Stallcup and other members of DanceLife Retreat. She is Elite's Managing Director and hopes to share her love, passion and knowledge of teaching with other members of the Elite staff and her students!

Jordyn McNichols

Jordyn McNichols began dancing at the age of 2, studying jazz, tap, lyrical, and ballet at a local competitive dance studio. There she received ballet training in the Cecchetti method under Jacqueline Anderson, former president of the Cecchetti society of America, and earned honors on all of her graded exams.

 At the age of 14 she began her professional career dancing with the Albano Ballet Company of America. She danced with the Albano Ballet for 5 years performing soloist roles in An American In Paris, The Nutcracker, Dance - The Language of Movement, and the Spring Repertoire showcases. Under the direction of Joseph Albano, she was trained in his "Law of Centers and Theory of Rotors", a more scientific understanding of ballet and how the body works through each movement. 

 In 2009 Jordyn moved to Philadelphia to attend the University of the Arts where she earned a BFA in Ballet. She trained in ballet under the direction of Eva Szabo, Anastasia Babayeva, Denis Gronostayskiy, Christine Cox, Scott Jovovich, Andrew Pap, and Karen Brown. She also received extensive training in modern and jazz with Zane Booker, Kim Bears-Bailey, and Roni Koresh, to name a few. 

Since graduating from college, Jordyn has continued to study, teach, and perform.  Most recently, she enjoyed the opportunity to become certified by Marie Walton-Mahon as a Progressing Ballet Technique instructor. Jordyn has over 10 years teaching experience, specializing in ballet and technique, and is happy to be sharing her ballet passion with the students at Elite.

Dayna Roon

            Dayna started dancing at the age of 5 and hasn’t stopped since!! Dayna grew up dancing and competing for Elite Dance Academy. She has studied all genres including tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet and Pom. Dayna graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. While at West Chester, Dayna was a member of the West Chester dance team for four years. She continued competing and participated in the UDA Collegiate Dance Team Nationals in Disney World every year. Her hard working and successful Dance Team was ranked 5th in pom and 8th in hip hop nationally. Dayna is working towards her CLI Studios certification in continuing dance education and most recently attended the Rhee Gold Dance Life Teacher Conference. Dayna is very passionate about educating young students, especially at Elite where her love for dance all started!

Christa Chirico

Christa began dancing at the age of 3 and grew up training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary at the competition level. Christa also used her dance skills as a member of the Sesame Place Entertainment Department from 2010 to 2013, where she performed daily in shows and parades. Prior to graduating from Villanova University in 2015, Christa was the President of the Villanova Dance Company, which allowed her to take and teach classes, choreograph pieces, organize the semester showcases, and plan workshops with local Philadelphia-based dance companies. Christa teaches English at a local high school during the day, and she is excited to bring the same energy from her English classroom into the studio!  

Reggie Oliver

Reggie comes to us from Philadelphia. He is an accomplished dancer and his experience stretches from the studio to the stage and even the set!  He has had the pleasure to dance with recording artists like Macklemore, Ryan Lewis, Jody Watley, and Lindsey Stirling. Reggie has choreographed for super producer / artist Rjd2 and the upcoming pop sensation, Alex B. Reggie has been featured in catalogs and commercials, as well as specials on CBS, PBS, and MTV. Reggie is trained in hip hop, jazz, modern, Bollywood and ballet. He has danced with WildaBeast, Virgil Gadson and Tony Czar. Aside from his training and experiences, Reggie’s greatest joy is teaching and sharing the art of dance with students near and far!

Georgette Korizis

Miss Georgette has been dancing professionally since age 15, when she first appeared on the television show So You Think You Can Dance in Greece. She performed in multiple live shows and was one of the top 12 dancers. While living in Greece she also performed on numerous daily television shows and modeled for Greek magazines. She trained at Marymount Manhattan College where she majored in dance with a concentration in choreography and has also trained with: East Coast Movement, Performing Arts Academy, The Joffrey Ballet, Icon Dance Complex, Broadway Dance Center, La Luna Dance, Top Hat Dance Studio, The Rock School, and numerous intensive workshops. Georgette’s most recent dance job is dancing behind singer/songwriter, Richard Walters, during his “Regretless” tour. She can also be found in the movie “Dark Horse” where she appears in a dance scene. Georgette has been teaching dance for the past 7 years and continues with her own training. A graduate of West Chester University, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Geographical Information Systems.

Mariah Pizzo

Mariah, raised in a dance-oriented family, developed an early love for being a living room superstar. She began taking ballet classes at the age of three and went on to explore many other styles such as: jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, hip hop and tap. In 2012, Mariah was awarded a scholarship by Braham Logan Crane to tour as an assistant with Artists Simply Human. She trained competitively for 15 years collecting many trophies, medals, scholarships and experiences along the way. Mariah has been instructing and choreographing for competitions and local theatre programs for several years. She is a part of Truman High School's Theatre Alumni and is their current choreographer, recently choreographing the High School Pilot of "Honeymoon In Vegas". In addition to dance, she studied Cosmetology at The Aveda Institute in Philadelphia. Under the direction of Rudy Miles, backstage artist for New York Fashion Week, she earned a certification in Professional Makeup Application. She is very excited to be a part of the Elite Dance Academy family and is looking forward to many more years to come!

Lisa Guant

Miss Lisa has been teaching dance and fitness for 15 years. She is a graduate of Montclair State University with degrees in Theatre Production & Design, Dance and Musical Theatre. While in college, she focused on production and worked professionally as a stage manager in NYC and at many of NJ's top theatres. While in college she focused on production and worked professionally as a stage manager in NYC. She won the Kennedy Center's Regional ACTF Stage Management title and performed in the finals of the prestigious Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship competition. Miss Lisa is also involved in the fitness industry as a personal trainer teaching Yoga, Pilates, and group fitness. She has acquired over a dozen fitness certifications. Miss Lisa's dance and theater students have gone on to study at top universities across the US as well as successful performance careers from national tours, Regional and Off Broadway Theatres. She is also a proud and busy mom of three, two twin girls and a boy. She is happy to be sharing her love for dance at Elite!

Taylor Koretsky

Taylor was a student of Elite Dance Academy from age 3 to 18. She studied all genres of dance including hip hop, tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, and pom.  She competed as part of the EDA Team for 11 years, earned many high scores and awards, and was a leader to her younger teammates. In addition, Taylor was an EDA student choreographer and assistant teacher. A graduate of Towson University with a degree in Elementary and Special Education, Taylor continued dancing throughout college as part of the Towson University Pom Squad and was an acting captain for one year. As a junior, she led her team to the UDA Collegiate Dance Nationals in Disney World. Taylor is a certified “Rhythm Works Integrative Dance” instructor, which is a program designed for those with individual learning differences and other special needs. Taylor is an elementary school teacher at a Philadelphia Charter School. Taylor is beyond excited to continue to be a part of the Elite Dance Academy family as an instructor and competitive choreographer.

Kathryn Smoyer

Miss Kat has been a part of the dance world for over 30 years. As a child, she instantly fell in love with tap and quickly grew to love all dance styles. During her younger years, Kathryn trained extensively in ballet under Ann Moser Trenka. In college, Ms. Smoyer turned her love to hip hop, performing and competing with the Temple University Diamond Gems. She graduated with a Bachelors in Education from Temple University in 2001 and earned her Masters of Arts in Education from Gratz College in 2009. During the day, Kathryn currently teaches sixth grade in Philadelphia. Her proudest accomplishment is being a mother to her two beautiful children. Ms. Smoyer has been teaching dance in the Pennsylvania area for the past 20 years and is excited and honored to be part of the Elite Dance Academy family.
